NEW! March 2008: Auditions to Perform the Opening Piece for Ballet Magnificat
EAS is partnering with Ballet Magnificat through offering our students the opportunity to perform alongside a professional dance company. Auditions will be held Sunday, March 30th from 1pm-3pm at the EAS dance room (located on City of Grace church campus – 655 E. University Drive Mesa, Az 85203. Building 4, top floor) Dance students accepted will not only perform an opening number just prior to Ballet Magnificat’s performance of The Scarlet Cord, but they will also join the company in devotions and the warm up class prior to the performance.
What an amazing opportunity for our EAS dancers!
Rehearsal Schedule will be Sundays April 6, 13, 20 from 1pm-3pm. Thursday, April 24th from 6pm-9pm. Cost is $50 + a $10 registration fee. Cost includes all of the above , costume (not including tights, leotard, dance shoes) plus reserved seating for the dancer and 4 guests the night of the show.
Ballet Magnificat
Mark your calendars for Friday, April 25, when the professional touring dance company, Ballet Magnificat will present, The Scarlet Cord, a story of Rahab’s heart revolution. Sponsored by EAS and City of Grace Church in Mesa Arizona. Time: 7:00pm Location: City of Grace Worship Center at 655 E. University Drive Mesa, Az 85203 Cost: Love Offering
Ballet Magnificat Workshops
In partnership with EAS, Ballet Magnificat will be offering dance workshops on Saturday, April 26th from 1pm-6pm and Sunday, April 27th from 1pm-6pm. Classes offered will be in ballet, jazz, modern and creative worship. Levels will include beginner (must have at least one year of prior training) to advanced. Cost when registering by April 21st is $90 for the full weekend or $50 for either day. Cost when registering after April 21st is $100 for the full weekend or $60 for either day. There is a $10 registration fee. (This fee is waived for those who perform the opening piece for Ballet Magnificat) To register simply e-mail EAS at info@experienceartsschool.com. Include name, address, phone number, e-mail address, age, level (beg, int, adv). Checks are made payable to EAS and may be sent to 655 E. University Mesa, Az 85203.
